Free X thread generator

Write a complete X (Twitter) thread in about a minute. Enter your website and what you want the thread to do for you, and this generator reads your homepage, proposes a topic, and lets you pick from three real thread formats before writing the full thread.

Completely free. No account, no email required. The thread is shown in a tweet-style preview so you can see exactly how it will read before you post it.

What you get

A hook tweet built to earn a reply or a quote-tweet, a set of numbered follow-up tweets that develop the topic in your chosen format, and a closing tweet with a clear call to action.

Tweets that call for one get a suggested visual — a chart, a screenshot or a before/after image — so you know exactly which tweets are stronger with an image attached.

Why the format matters

The same topic written as a listicle reads completely differently from the same topic written as a hot take or a case study. Format is a creative decision, not an afterthought, so this generator asks you to make it before writing a single tweet — and only offers the three formats that actually fit the goal you picked.

Frequently asked questions

What does this X (Twitter) thread generator actually do?

Enter your website and pick a goal, and it reads your homepage to work out what your business does, then proposes one concrete thread topic and three real thread formats. Pick a format and it writes the full thread: a hook tweet, numbered follow-up tweets each with an optional visual suggestion, and a closing tweet with a call to action.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no email and no credit card to generate a thread. There is a small hourly limit per visitor to keep the tool available to everyone; if you want unlimited threads, join the Altheo waitlist.

What thread formats can I choose from?

Listicle Thread (numbered, skimmable points), Storytime Thread (a first-person narrative arc), Hot Take (a contrarian opinion, defended tweet by tweet), Case Study (a result walked through step by step) and Direct Offer (problem, solution, clear call to action). Which three you see depends on the goal you pick — go viral, grow followers, drive sales or build authority.

Can I post the thread straight to X?

Not yet — the generator writes the thread and shows it in a tweet-style preview so you can see exactly how it will read, and you copy each tweet across to post it yourself. Posting directly to X is something we're looking at for the future.

Will it make things up about my business?

No — the thread is grounded only in what your homepage actually says. It won't invent fake customer stories, statistics or before/after results and present them as real. If a format calls for proof, it writes it as an explicitly illustrative example instead.

Can I use this for TikTok or Instagram too?

Yes, but as separate generators tuned to each platform: the free TikTok script generator and the free Instagram Reel generator both write a spoken video script with shot directions instead of a text thread.

Why does the preview show a handle and an avatar?

So you can judge the thread the way a reader actually will — as a stack of tweets from an account, not as a block of text. If you gave your handle, the preview uses it; otherwise it shows a placeholder so the layout still reads correctly.

How is picking a format different from just getting a thread?

Most generators skip straight to a thread and guess at the structure for you. This one shows you the topic first, then three real thread formats — a Hot Take, a Case Study or a Listicle, for example — so the creative decision is yours before a single tweet gets written, not buried inside a generic output you have to reinterpret.
