ScripAI is a free, no-login AI writing site with well over 100 generators, including a TikTok Script Writer and an IG Script Writer for short-form video. The free claim checks out. Whether the scripts are worth using is a different question — one we tested ourselves rather than took from the marketing copy.
Our rating: 2.8 out of 5. Reviewed August 2026.

ScripAI is one of the rare tools in this category where "free" actually means free: no account, no credit card, no watermark, across the TikTok Script Writer, the IG Script Writer and the 100+ other generators bundled on the site. As a zero-cost starting point, that is a genuinely good basis.
The scripts themselves are the problem. Across our own test prompts on both tools, the output was short, generic, and built from stock openers — "Are you tired of...", "Want to transform your..." — regardless of the topic entered, with a thin body underneath. The only creative control on offer is a Tone dropdown; there is no way to choose a hook style, a structure, or an angle on the topic. Generation was also slow: 60 to 90 seconds for a 30-second script in our tests.

Two generators are built specifically for short-form video: the TikTok Script Writer (scripai.com/tiktok-script) and the IG Script Writer (scripai.com/ig-reel-script). Both use an identical form — video title, optional short description, optional keywords, a Language dropdown and a Tone dropdown — and produce an identical output shape, just relabeled for the platform.
Around those two sit a much larger catalog: a YT Shorts Script generator, standalone TikTok Hook and YouTube Hook tools, hashtag generators for every major platform, an Instagram Caption tool, and well over a hundred other writers spanning blog posts, ad copy, cold emails and name generators.
We entered "5 morning habits that changed my life" into the TikTok Script Writer with Tone on Professional. The opening line: "Hook: Want to transform your mornings and change your life? Here are five morning habits that did just that for me. First, I started waking up 30 minutes earlier..."
We then ran the IG Script Writer with "3 mistakes killing your Instagram engagement", same default settings: "[Hook] Are you tired of low engagement on your Instagram posts? Let's talk about three mistakes that could be killing your reach! Mistake #1: Inconsistent Posting. Posting sporadically confuses your audience..."
Both openers follow the same "Are you tired of / Want to transform" template regardless of topic, and both bodies are a flat list of points with no specific detail pulled from the prompt. Changing Tone to Humorous or Enthusiastic altered the adjectives, not the structure. Generation also took roughly 60 to 90 seconds per 30-second script — longer than the finished video is supposed to run.
We generated multiple scripts, browsed the wider catalog, and never hit a paywall, a usage cap, or a signup prompt. No credit card was requested at any point, no account was created, and no watermark appeared on any output. The homepage's "ScripAI is FREE Forever!" claim held up in practice.
We searched G2, Capterra and Trustpilot directly for "scripai" and scripai.com. None returned a matching product listing or review page. That is not unusual for a free utility with no sales motion, but it means this review and your own testing are the only signal available beyond ScripAI's own marketing copy.
ScripAI may suit you if you want a genuinely free way to get past a blank page, or want to try dozens of adjacent free tools without an account anywhere. It is a weaker fit if you need a script you could film with light editing, or if controlling the hook, angle or structure of the video matters to you.
Altheo's Instagram Reel and TikTok script generators are also free with no signup, and take a different approach: they read your website, propose a topic, and make you pick a goal and one of three real shooting formats — Talking Head, Green Screen or Storytime — before writing a single line. ScripAI skips that decision; Altheo makes you make it.
Yes, and this is the one claim that checks out cleanly. The TikTok Script Writer and IG Script Writer, along with the rest of ScripAI's 100+ generators, run with no account, no email, no credit card and no watermark on the output. The homepage banner says 'ScripAI is FREE Forever!' and nothing we found while testing the tools contradicted that — no paywall appeared mid-generation, no usage cap forced a signup.
Weak, based on our own testing. We ran both the TikTok Script Writer and the IG Script Writer with a handful of realistic prompts, and the results were short, generic, and leaned on stock openers — 'Are you tired of low engagement on your Instagram posts?', 'Want to transform your mornings and change your life?' — followed by a thin, listy body that could apply to almost any topic in the same category. It reads like a first draft you would still need to rewrite before filming, not a finished script.
Barely. The TikTok Script Writer and IG Script Writer both expose the same five fields: video title, an optional short description, optional keywords, a Language dropdown, and a Tone dropdown (Professional, Informative, Convincing, Enthusiastic, Humorous, Formal, Inspirational, Passionate, Serious, Thoughtful, Worried). There is no way to choose a hook style, a narrative structure, a point of view, or a specific angle on the topic — Tone is the only creative lever, and it changes the adjectives more than it changes the substance of the script.
Slower than the '10X faster' framing on the homepage suggests. In our tests, a single 30-second TikTok or Instagram Reel script took roughly 60 to 90 seconds to finish streaming — longer, start to finish, than the video the script is written for.
We could not find one. There is no ScripAI listing on G2 that we could locate, no Trustpilot page at scripai.com, and no matching listing on Capterra. That does not mean the tool is disreputable — plenty of free utilities skip review platforms entirely — but it does mean there is no independent signal to weigh against our own hands-on testing.
The same site bundles well over 100 generators beyond the two script writers, including a YT Shorts Script tool, TikTok Hook and YouTube Hook generators, Instagram Caption and hashtag generators for every major platform, LinkedIn and Twitter post tools, blog and SEO generators, business and app name generators, and general writing tools like a sentence expander and content rewriter. If you already have a script and just need a caption or a hashtag set, that breadth is genuinely useful — it is the script-writing quality specifically that falls short.
Both are free with no signup, but the workflow is different. Altheo's /instagram-script-generator and /tiktok-script-generator read your website, propose a topic, and — critically — make you pick a goal and one of three real shooting formats (Talking Head, Green Screen or Storytime, for example) before writing a single line, because format is a creative decision that changes the entire script. ScripAI skips that decision: you type a title, optionally a description and keywords, pick a tone, and get one script with no say in its structure or angle. Altheo does not compete with ScripAI's other 100+ tools, but on the specific job of writing a short-form video script with some creative direction behind it, that format choice is the gap.
Someone who wants a completely free way to get unstuck on a blank page, or who wants to test dozens of adjacent tools (hashtags, captions, hooks, names) without creating an account anywhere. It is a weaker fit if you need a script you can film with light or no editing, if you post on a schedule where every extra rewrite costs real time, or if controlling the hook, angle or structure of the video matters to you — none of that is currently on offer.
